Commissioned by author Deborah Cartier, this lively and humorous children’s book bursts with energy and personality, following Amelia Grace—a whirlwind of excitement with an undeniable flair for fashion and mischief. Part of The Hat-tastic Tales of Amelia Grace series, this book showcases Amelia’s grand adventures at Pepé and Nonni’s, where she captivates everyone with her storytelling, grins, and dazzling presence.
Using my colorful personal vector art style, I designed dynamic, expressive illustrations that bring Amelia’s world to life with vibrancy and warmth. A key challenge in this project was ensuring Amelia’s personality radiated from every scene—her playful spirit had to shine through each pose, outfit, and interaction. Through exaggerated expressions, bold compositions, and a bright color palette, I captured the humor and heart of her antics while making every page visually engaging for young readers.
Beyond crafting the illustrations, I also designed the cover, layout, and print-ready files, ensuring a polished and seamless final presentation. My proudest achievement in this project was translating Amelia’s joyful chaos into a visually captivating experience—one that keeps readers smiling from start to finish.
