"The Kid with the Dragon Tail"
This imaginative children’s book was a joy to bring to life, offering complete creative freedom to illustrate Niko’s extraordinary journey. Using my personal vector-art style, I transformed the real-life boy into a charming, cartoonized character, ensuring his features remained expressive and engaging. Vector art allowed me to construct scenes efficiently, while a bright color palette helped define the book’s energetic and magical atmosphere.
One of the biggest challenges was crafting both the school setting and the dragon’s design in a way that felt cohesive and visually exciting. By thoroughly researching and aligning the illustrations with the author's ideas, I ensured each page captured the story’s heart. Throughout the process, I worked closely with the author, refining every detail through feedback until the visuals fully aligned with their vision. The most rewarding aspect was shaping Niko himself—translating his personality into a vibrant, adventurous character who seamlessly carries the story forward.
