Commissioned by Bernice Stewart (Granny B), this whimsical children’s book brings to life the charming and ever-dreamy Bimbo the cat. Whether he’s lounging at a sunny picnic, embarking on camping trips, or imagining himself adorned in crowns and chariots, Bimbo’s adventures are filled with warmth, humor, and a touch of royal daydreaming.
Using my personal vector art style, I designed bold and vibrant illustrations that enrich the playful narrative. A key challenge in this project was ensuring Bimbo’s personality shined through—capturing his regal fantasies while maintaining the story’s lighthearted, endearing tone. With expressive character designs, dynamic compositions, and carefully chosen colors, I created a world that feels both magical and inviting for young readers.
Beyond the illustrations, I was also responsible for the cover design, layout, and print-ready files, ensuring the book’s final presentation was polished and visually captivating. My proudest achievement in this project was successfully crafting an imaginative and immersive experience that allows readers to step into Bimbo’s royal dreams.
